What or who are bargirls?
Many are young impoverished girls 18 and above arriving from the province. Some of the areas they come from are very remote without electricity and many of the houses have dirt floors.

Surprisingly even the loss of virginity can be enough for a girl to decide to work in a bar. The logic being that she now has little chance to find a good husband and there is nothing to hang on to anymore so might as well make money from it.
Even more surprising are young attractive educated girls that make a decision to do bar work for a period of time to make money for a specific goal. Often they are putting themselves through school or some other future orientated purpose.
Much of the bar girl population is very transient. Some girls try it for a few months or even a year and then move on to something else. In the past few years the average age of bargirls has been increasing and it seem to be mid 20s now. A decade or two ago most were under 20 years of age. The fresh teen girls are still coming in from the province but not like before.
There are a large number of bargirls that really like the life style and stay for years. They love the party every night atmosphere, they are addicted to the dancing, they enjoy the sex and sadly drugs are often a factor in bargirls life.
If you come to Asia and want to visit bars then the two best destinations by far are Thailand and Philippines. Filipina bargirls are found all over the Philippines but for tourists the best places are Makate, Ermita, Angeles city and Cebu city. Thai bargirls are found all around Bangkok including Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy and Patpong. Outside of Bangkok you can head for Pattaya and ChangMai.
